How your money works. Who holds what.

Short version: your wallet and your funds are yours, and the card in a tweet can trade but never withdraw. The only money YAP holds is creators' fee earnings, until they claim them.

Your wallet

Your wallet is yours

When you sign in with X, Privy creates a wallet for you. Its key is secured by Privy so that neither YAP nor Privy alone can use it, and every signature happens in your own browser. YAP never sees or stores your private key.

Your money

Your money stays on Hyperliquid

Deposits go into your own Hyperliquid account, at your own address. YAP never holds your deposits or positions. You can check your balance on Hyperliquid's explorer at any time, and withdraw from your account page whenever you like (Hyperliquid charges a 1 USDC withdrawal fee).

The card key

The tweet card can trade, never withdraw

To trade inside a tweet, the card makes its own small key and you approve it once. Hyperliquid itself only allows that key to open and close trades: it cannot withdraw or send your funds. The key lives only in your browser, YAP's server only knows its address, and it expires after 30 days.

Fees

One fee: 0.1% per trade

Every trade made through a YAP card pays a 0.1% fee on its size, on top of Hyperliquid's normal trading fees. You approve this fee once when you connect, and it can never be higher than what you approved.

Creator earnings

Creator fees: held by YAP until claimed

The 0.1% fee from every trade on your call is credited to you. Hyperliquid pays these fees into YAP's fee wallet, and YAP keeps a record of each creator's share. When you press Claim on your account page, your share is sent to your own Hyperliquid account. Until you claim, that money is held by YAP, so claim whenever you like.

Your login

Keep access to your X account

Your wallet is tied to your X login. If you lose access to your X account, you lose access to the wallet, so keep your X login secure.

Risk. Leveraged trading can lose your whole margin quickly. Calls on YAP are posts by other users, not advice. Only trade what you can afford to lose.
